Party #2

On Saturday Cora (and the rest of us) was invited to a birthday party. It was for her friend, Braden (Keaton’s brother). What is so sweet about this is Braden knows how good of friends Cora and Keaton are and had asked his mom if Cora could be invited. He also wanted it to be kept a surprise for Keaton so he would be surprised when he saw Cora. I thought that was so cute, considerate and loving! The party was a “Cars 2” theme, and Kari did a fantastic job making it very car-oriented. The kids got to build cars out of Legos and have races with them, the snacks were Cars-themed complete with homemade ice cream sandwiches in the shape of Lightening McQueen. I think the highlight of the party was when each child was given a cardboard “car” they could decorate, and then they all had a big race! It was so adorable, the weather was gorgeous and fun was had by all! I was taking copious notes and tucking them away for later for birthday ideas for Ben one day!

Ben hangin’ out on a blanket in the shade, munchin’ on Cheerios and watching EVERYTHING!

Cora’s car–we put a “3” on each side (because she’s 3), eyelashes on the eyes (because it’s a girl car), and she specifically asked for a TAIL to be put on the back!

The kids lined up to go around the cul-de-sac for the race!

Ben got a car too, though he wasn’t nearly as excited as the other kids! However, he did think it was tasty!
