Rebekah hit the 2 month mark on Sunday! I can’t believe it’s been 2 months already! Wow! Time flies when you’re having fun…or sleep deprived…or both! 🙂 Our “little” girl is growing like a weed! Monday she had her 2 month check-up and weighed in at 13.5 lbs. and 23 in. long! Yep! She’s a-growin’! She got a good report as far as her thriving, growing, and development.
She was supposed to have her well-check on Thursday, but we went on Monday because we can’t handle the screaming and crying any longer! Poor Rebekah! I won’t go into detail of all her symptoms, but just know the poor baby is miserable! On Monday I sat in a chair, rocked her and sobbed while she was screaming. I felt so helpless. I hated seeing her in pain, didn’t know how to help her and at David’s encouragement called to get her in early. I’m glad I did! She is already on Alimentum formula–which is the Cadillac formula, liquid gold, whatever you want to call it! It’s expensive!!!! The point of the Alimentum is to get rid of the gas, fussiness and discomfort. It’s not working with her and this is concerning. Anyway, right now she’s taking Prevacid 2 times a day in hopes of healing whatever is going on. If this doesn’t help then she’ll have to get blood work done to check for allergies. Our pediatrician is wondering is she’s allergic to the milk protein (my nephew, Riley, is…). I really hope she’s not. However, whatever it takes for her to not be miserable. We’re starting to get answers and I hope something pans out as far as what will help. In the meantime, we do a lot of praying, rocking, bouncing and administering of gas drops!
