Cora will be starting preschool September 3. She is SO stinkin’ excited to start!!!! She really needed to have her hair cut after our disaster earlier in the summer, so I thought it would be fun for her to go with me to the salon I go so we could get our hair cut together. We did have a really fun time. She was afraid for the stylist to wash her hair since the last time she ended up drenched. I assured her this wouldn’t happen here and thankfully it didn’t! She asked if Lizz cut my hair when I was a little girl, and I said no–I doubt Lizz was alive when I was 4 years old! After getting our hair cut we stopped at a local coffee shop, and I got her some ice cream (which she ate about 2 bites of), and we just sat and talked. I asked her what she was most excited about doing in preschool and she said, “Coloring!” Really? She rarely colors at home because she doesn’t seem to enjoy it. We had a great time together, and I had to chuckle as she said a few times, “Mommy? Can we go home? I reaaaaaaally miss Daddy and Ben!” I’m thankful she loves (and misses) the men in her family!
