Giving Thanks

This year David and I hosted Thanksgiving at our home. We had David’s mom, step dad, aunt and grandfather. This was the first holiday since David’s grandma passed away, and Thanksgiving was always at their house. We wanted to be together as a family, but David and I thought it would be nice to have Thanksgiving in a different house. So, we offered. We prepared everything to be a blessing to my MIL and David’s aunt, and just wanted to have a relaxed, fun and great time as a family. I would say we pulled it off! The food was so good (if I do say so myself!), we had great conversation and so much fun as a family. After eating and nap time David’s aunt wanted to do Christmas with the kids, so they got to open up several gifts and had fun with that, of course! We had a wonderful time, and David and I feel blessed to be part of the family we are part of.

She also made this pumpkin bread in preschool, which we were sure to serve with our Thanksgiving dinner. And, she made sure we ALL tried it! :)
