About Me and this Blog

I am a Christian first, wife second, a mommy, and to add to all that my husband is a pastor! I strive to do my best and hope that at the end of the day the Lord is pleased. I am passionate about life, especially the things of the Lord, and though I will probably ruffle your feathers due to my blunt honesty, I hope this blog can be an encouragement to you, my readers, and add some humor to your day.

My blog was first started on another site. I hope you will enjoy following me as I seek to serve the Lord in all I do, from being a wife, a mom, a servant of the Lord and how that all translates into being a pastor’s wife!

Let me introduce you to my family! My husband and I met on eHarmony.com late June of 2005 and were married January 2006. Our daughter, Cora, was born March 2009, our son, Benjamin, was born June 2011 and our daughter, Rebekah, was born June 2013. We also have our trusty beagle, Molly, who was born December 2005. My husband is the pastor of an American Baptist church, which we moved to October 2010. I am able to be a stay-at-home mom and love being that! Our life is not perfect, but we do the best we can and seek the Lord for his help and wisdom.

  1. Hi. I’ve been following your wordpress blog and have really enjoyed some of the information.

I am interested in sponsoring a review/giveaway on your site, as well as in advertising…

I am a homeschooling mom of 6, and an independent consultant with Lilla Rose selling elegant, well-made, unique hair clips called Flexi-Clips. They are patented and work on all hair types from baby fine to extra-long and thick. They come in 7 sizes. They are similar to the old fashioned leather piece with a wooden stick. The “stick” on these is connected so you can’t lose it. They are also adjustable and made out of zinc, like nuts and bolts. The “flexi” part is beaded music wire, like guitar string and the clip holding it together is brass. These are extra heavy duty, without weighing you down or feeling heavy in your hair. It really is a life-saver for busy moms like me, because I can do my hair in only seconds and feel beautiful and ready for the day. I use one for a ponytail for the 11 year old and it holds really well all day.

And my Facebook page is: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dawnita-Fogleman/1635119537588655

    Thank you for your consideration!

    • Hello! I’m honored that you would want to do this! Sure! I’m up for it! I don’t know how to go about doing this sort of thing, or how it all works, so if you do, tell me what I need to do. You can email me at jenileehardin(at)gmail(dot)com.

      Thank you!

  2. I just found your blog from blog frog. It would not let me sign in and reply so I thought I would pop on over here and do that. I read a great blog about a woman and her family who began a homestead recently. She is an awesome christian woman and shares her failures and successes of living a homestead life. She is striving to live off the grid. http://www.newlifeonahomestead.com She has links to other great websites and blogs that would be of interest to you trying to live of your land. 🙂 hope that helps!!
